Google just showed how Big Tech will win again in AI

• Google is putting its latest AI model into the hands of billions of people. 
• The company has such a broad set of popular products, very few rivals can pull this off. 
• OpenAI and other AI startups will struggle to match this reach, unless they team up with other tech giants, like Microsoft.

There’s an elegant theory espoused by venture capitalist Elad Gil on who wins from each big new innovation wave. Either startups do best, or big incumbent technology companies grab most of the value.
